Industrial Baking Pans and Trays
Custom industrial bakeware, engineered in Australia
A long-established name in the Australia/New Zealand and Asia-Pacific baking industry, Mackies designs, builds and coats industrial bakeware for high-volume commercial bakeries — bread pan straps, system trays and cooling equipment engineered for automated production lines, coated in Australia under a Chemours™ licence.
Three ways we support your bakery
From a first custom pan design to keeping existing pan sets on the line, everything on the industrial side of Mackies falls into one of three paths.
Industrial Bakeware
Custom-engineered pans, straps and system trays built to your oven, line pitch and product weights — from prototype through full production, Mecatherm and automated-line compatible.

Pan Recoating
Worn pans and trays recoated in Teflon™ in Australia rather than replaced — staged in tranches around your baking schedule, including other manufacturers' bakeware.

Coated in Australia, under a Chemours™ licence
Every Mackies pan and tray is coated in Australia under a Chemours™ licence — by the only licensed Chemours industrial coating applicator in Australia and New Zealand — on automated lines for consistent quality and performance. Mackies helped lead the Australian industrial baking sector's shift to oil-free, non-stick bakeware.
- MackEZE®Mackies' own Teflon™-class fluoropolymer, applied in a multi-step process for commercial baking.
- PTFE (Teflon™)Industry-standard non-stick for bread pans, muffin trays and general bakeware.
- PFAHigher-performance oil-free release — around 3,500–4,000 releases, with superior chemical and heat resistance.
- Hybrid (NS 6500)Premium three-coat fluoropolymer — 5,500–6,000 oil-free releases and excellent abrasion resistance.
Fluoropolymer coatings last 8–10× longer than standard glaze — and worn pans are recoated in Teflon™ rather than replaced. Applied to Chemours quality standards, with adhesion testing, thickness checks and full traceability. More on our coatings →
Work we've put on the line
Keeping a national bakery's pan sets on the line
A national bread producer's 680g strapped sets were losing release mid-contract, with no window to pull them from service. A staged recoat program cycled the sets through in tranches — each recoated as a complete assembly in Australia and returned before the next shipped. Release restored across every set with zero lost production days, at a fraction of the cost of new tooling.
A custom tray for a new automated roll line
A producer commissioning a new automated roll line needed indented trays matched exactly to the line's pitch and depanning system. Working from the closest die in our 530+ library, Mackies engineered custom tooling to the line manufacturer's specifications, ran a prototype batch for trials, then delivered the production run — commissioned on schedule.
Bringing another manufacturer's pans back to life
An industrial bakery was running pans built overseas by another manufacturer, with coating at end of life and refurbishment meaning months offshore. Mackies inspected the sets, confirmed the substrates were sound, and recoated them onshore in tranches — a competitor-built pan set back at full release without leaving the country.
